Bonuses & free bets
Offers tempt most beginners, and reading them correctly is a skill in its own right. This section explains where the rulebook is thin and where the provider’s own wording takes over.
Free bets and sign-up offers lead the list, then no-deposit bets and promotions in general. Matched betting appears as a technique that grows out of offers, not as instructions. “Free sports betting” is treated as a marketing phrase. TAB runs bonus bets of its own.
New Zealand has no established rule on the size of a betting bonus or the wagering attached to it. The NZ$100 and 200% figure is a cap for licensed online casinos only. Any offshore offer is made by an operator that DIA says is breaking the law.
