The New Zealand frame

TAB NZ has been the sole provider allowed to offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand since 28 June 2025, under section 74AAA of the Racing Industry Act 2020, with TAB and Betcha as its online brands. The Department of Internal Affairs monitors compliance. Offshore bookmakers are not licensed here, and there is no licence that could be sought. Betting with TAB NZ is limited to adults aged 18 and over.

Content and its limits

Guides are prepared carefully and revisited from time to time, but odds, markets and offer terms keep changing, so the provider’s own current terms prevail. No responsibility is accepted for decisions made on the strength of the content. Misleading conduct in trade is forbidden by the Fair Trading Act 1986, and the writing keeps that in view.
