Payments
A first bet raises a practical question before any question about odds: how does the money get there and back. This section follows that route step by step.
Bank transfer sits first, with cards (Visa and Mastercard), POLi and Apple Pay close behind. E-wallets such as PayPal, Skrill and Neteller form the next group, and paysafecard, Neosurf and Trustly the last. Bitcoin and crypto are handled as a subject in themselves.
The law sets no established payment rules for betting accounts; methods and limits belong to the provider, so none is generalised. On the tax side, IRD guidance treats recreational winnings as generally not taxable. Money left with an offshore operator is a separate worry, because DIA notes unspent credits might never come back.
